We’ve compiled a list of all the characters in Happy Wheels including the character specific instructions which will really enhance your game play.

There are currently 10 playable characters in the full game.

    Wheelchair Guy

    Wheelchair-Guy_HW
The Character that everyone is oh so familiar with, the grumpy old hobo looking wheels chair rider. This guy’s been in happy wheels since the beginning along with three other Characters, Segway Guy, Irresponsible Dad & Effective Shopper.

Wheelchair Guy is the oldest playable character and is probably classed as the main mascot for the game since he appears on the splash screen when the game loads.

Why do we say he’s a Hobo well his clothes are all tattered and torn and consist of a shabby green t shirt with holes in and paint on and some torn purple trousers.

His speed is classed as slow without the jet and fast with it attached, Wheelchair Guy is classed as a medium sized character.
Having the jet strapped to the wheelchair also makes him one of the quickest characters in Happy Wheels, also if the jet is crushed with a heavy enough object or falls from an high enough height the it will explode with one all mighty bang. If your familiar with the level editor in the full game then you can now use the jet engine as an object.

He has some phrases such as “Oh my leg!” and “Save me!”

    Segway Guy

    Segway Guy-HW

This guy’s been in happy wheels since the beginning along with three other Characters, Wheelchair Guy, Irresponsible Dad & Effective Shopper. He was the second playable character.

He can be tricky to get familiar with his controls as the Segway he rides is tricky to ride in real life so this has been reflected in the game. This may put people off using him but once you’ve got yourself familiar with him he’s pretty easy to travel with and you can easily show off your skills. His Segway is also capable of doing jumps, but since the control bar on the Segway must always point up, this is why he can’t do front or back flips.

His speed is classed as medium as he is quicker than the self propelled vehicles, he is also one of the few characters that can be re attached to his Segway after been ejected

    Irresponsible Dad

Irresponsible DadAgain Irresponsible Dad was one of the original 4 characters from version 1.0 of Happy Wheels and was the third to be added, you ask why he’s called  Irresponsible Dad well hes carrying his child on the bike with no helmet even though he wears one and they are about to undertake the world that is Happy Wheels.

Irresponsible Dad wears a Green Shirt, black belt, khaki shorts, black Shoes and white socks the little boy has an orange shirt on with green shorts and red shoes.

The little boy is one of the smallest characters in Happy Wheels only to be beaten by Irresponsible Mum’s Baby.

Irresponsible Dad is a 2 character person and both are movable even though they are both controlled at the same time. Irresponsible Dad is classed as a medium sized character and the child as small, but both take the same speed of fast.

Effective Shopper was the largest character in Happy Wheels until Santa was added and then she was the second largest.
Her clothes are stained likely due to food been split on them and ripped / torn due to her abnormal eating habits which see her growing out of her clothes which are to small.
She carries some parody food of real life items
A plastic bottle of ”Cock Cola” (Coca Cola spoof), thios is a playable item which if broken will spray Coke out. Hellman’s Mayonnaise, a string of sausages, a baguette, a bag of sugar, two cans of “Campballs Tomato Slop,” and a box of Biscuits. She really does like her food.

    Moped Couple

There is nothing more nauseating than a loved up couple, so you can take great pleasure in seeing them suffer. You can flip off the male passenger if you want, let’s face it he will only hold you back (as is life). However he can be re attached to the moped but if the woman comes off she can’t be. So you can always eject both characters, and then the guy will just come back, just on his own, thus getting rid of the ‘dead weight’ so to speak. This will make completing some of the other levels much easier.

You should also be aware that the couple can get their limbs caught in the moped, which then slows the moped down. During the game if the man dies you will also hear the woman scream ‘WHY?’ obviously devastated by the sudden and unexpected loss of her partner. Both characters are prone to injury, mainly due to the build of the bike. It’s heavy and bulky and can quite easily crush the loving couple.

    Lawnmower Man

Lawnmower Man is an older, larger gentleman who as the name suggests sits atop a lawnmower. His scruffy appearance adds to the character, with his grey tank top with lovely yellow sweat stains, scruffy blue jeans, and dirty sneakers. His vehicle is a good old reliable green and yellow sit on mower. It can suck up characters and food items plus demolishing breakable items such as chairs or tables thanks to its sharp and strong spinning blades.

Although you may not expect it the lawnmower is actually pretty fast especially when used on flat ground. Because it’s a fairly bulky vehicle its jump range is fairly short, which means he isn’t a very versatile character. On the plus side, considering his age and his size he actually is in very good health and can get through some courses surviving better than other characters. Lawnmower Mans vehicle can make the game quite fun especially if you like lots of blood and gore.

    Explorer Guy

You can probably see a lot of resemblance in Explorer Guy to Indian Jones, who this character was based on.  He rides in a brown metal mine cart similar to the one Indy rides in Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom. The character is one of a few who does not have a motorised vehicle, and Explorer Guy is also better protected in the mine cart than other characters are.

    Santa Claus

Ah Jolly St Nick, another larger character on Happy Wheels, as you can guess his mode of transport is a sleigh. But rather than being pulled by reindeers, he is pulled by elves. His sleigh keeps going even if the two elves die, must be something to do with all that Christmas magic. His sleigh is also full of presents for kids which do have a tendency to fall out from time to time.

    Pogostick Man

This is the only character that doesn’t effectively some sort of a drive a vehicle or type of bike. If the man falls his pogo stick he is able to get back on again. His pogo stick can also break into about four pieces, so you need to be careful with him. Pogostick man can launch himself very high in the air, this means he can easily avoid tall objects and jump over buildings. When he gets injured he can be quite winy, so it’s best to keep him safe otherwise he might get on your nerves.

    Irresponsible Mom

Like irresponsible dad, but only with an extra kid so there is more danger there. It is a tandem bike, a smaller bike at the back with one child and a basket at the front with the other. Irresponsible mom is the only one wearing a safety helmet obviously she doesn’t care for her kids noggins. Having said that she doesn’t seem to care that much about them, because when they die she doesn’t react, pretty heartless!
